Hansen’s processes wood and green waste for six major metropolitan cities in Eastern Missouri, including the city of O’Fallon, Wentzville, Warrenton, Wright City, Lake Saint Louis and Branson.
- In the past 20 years, more than 130 major landfills in the state of Missouri have been closed permanently due to trash overload.
- Missouri has made it illegal to dump any form of green waste in landfills or storm sewers.
- This results in trash being hauled to distant landfills, which increases trash dumping fees, which increases taxes. If the wood waste and green waste are removed, it will increase the space and life of the landfill.
- Hansen’s works with St. Louis builders, businesses and communities to efficiently and effectively remove and recycle green waste.
In many areas, it is still commonplace to burn trees and other green waste generated from clearing a job site. This is not only an issue for the environment, but also destroys material that can be used to enrich local soil without the use of chemicals. Make sure the firm you use does not burn their green waste.
