Emergency Tree RemovalsWednesday, August 11th 2010 It's the sound everyone hates to hear- the sound of a tree cracking over in a storm and knowing that you need to find someone right away to do an emergency tree removalof a storm damaged tree. Hopefully everyone is safe and that tree didn't fall & damage your home, distroy your car or knock out the powerlines for the entire neighborhood. No matter if you "got off pretty lucky" or when things look "really bad" it's time to call Hansen's and let us handle everything. Most of the time when a tree falls & takes down a power line, the very first step in being able to restore power is to safely and quickly remove that tree. Our arborists are on call 24/7 during weather emergencies and if the situation calls for us to come out and assist the utility company by getting trees cleared from power lines, then that is exactly what we will do. Sometimes residents with a tree down don't realize that we have to keep our workers safe and get them back home to their families and loved ones - it's our obligation as their employer. So while we will send crews out as quickly as possible, please understand that even during emergency tree removals, if there is lightening near by, or winds that could whip a not down line into our workers be it on the ground or in a bucket truck, we will have monitor the situation and will only allow the crews to work when it is safe. Rest assured that if a true emergency tree removal is necessary due to either winds or ice damage, we will do our very best to get to everyone as quickly as we can to help you restore order back to your life and home. If that tree happens to crack down in the middle of your front or back yard & is posing no serious hazard, please call us as well for your removal needs but we ask you to please be aware that we run our storm jobs in a priority order and therefore we take trees off of houses and cars before anything else. We strive to limit the homeowners exposure to additional property damage by getting that tree off the roof so that you can have someone come quickly to then fix the roof. Our phone system is on 24/7 & if you listen to the night time recording, cell numbers to our certified arborists are given for emergency contact. Whenever storms are rolling through the area and if we are aware of severe tree damage anywhere in the area, please know that we are in route to the office and no matter what time of day or night you call, you may find your call being answered live from our switchboard- we takes storms & your safety very seriously. |
