International Society of Arboriculture
ISA is the professional membership organization for arborists and urban foresters around the globe. It has developed several professional credentials that arborists can earn to exhibit their knowledge and skills about trees. Hansen’s has several ISA Certified Arborists on staff and an ISA Board Certified Master Arborist. This provides assurance that you will get knowledgeable arborists that inspect and work on your trees.

Missouri Champion Tree Register
This program is administered by the Missouri Department of Conservation in cooperation with American Forests. This link contains a list of Missouri’s biggest trees and has information about measuring and nominating champion trees.
Missouri Community Forestry Council
A volunteer group comprised of professionals and volunteers from across the state. The group meets regularly to share successes and failures and holds an annual conference that is open to the public.
Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC)
A state agency with responsibility for forest, fish, and wildlife resources in Missouri. MDC has long been regarded a model agency for conservation in the United Sates. The agency manages state conservation areas including state forests, boat ramps, and conservation nature centers in urban areas. The web site contains excellent publications and information related to forestry, trees and tree care.
Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR)
A state agency with responsibility for air and soil quality in Missouri. This agency enforces many of the soil and water quality laws and regulations. They also manage Missouri’s state park systems.
Missouri Dept of Agriculture (MDA)
A state agency with responsibility for agricultural laws and regulations and providing information and resources to Missouri’s agriculture industry. They also regulate pesticide use in the state and license individuals that use pesticides.
Missouri Recycling Association
Society of American Foresters (SAF)
SAF is the professional association for foresters in the United States. Members must have graduated from an accredited university with a degree in, or closely related to the field of forestry. Hansen’s has an SAF Certified Forester on staff.
St. Louis Arborists Association (STLAA)
An organization comprises of tree care companies and employees in the St. Louis region. They meet monthly to share education about tree care.
Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA)
This is the official web site for the Tree Care Industry Council. Excellent resource for any type of tree care information. They use only the latest in technology and the most proven methods. Hansen’s Tree Service was the first tree care firm in Missouri to be accredited by the TCIA. This ensures safe work practices and knowledge of industry standards.
Trees Are Good is a public information site developed and maintained by the ISA. This educational site provides home and business owners with the resources they need to help understand how trees benefit them and the urban environment, as well as proper tree care.
